Payroll Officer

The Payroll Officer will oversee the full payroll function for approximately 1,000 staff across South Africa and the rest of Africa. The role involves processing payroll inputs, ensuring compliance with tax legislation and statutory requirements, managing third-party payments, and generating periodic reports. Proficiency in Sage 300, Kronos TAMS, and sound knowledge of payroll legislation is required. Candidates should possess at least a 3-year qualification in Finance or HR and have a minimum of 3 years’ payroll experience.

Qualifications:
• 3 Year Diploma/Degree in Finance / Human resources
• Knowledge of Sage 300 and Kronos Time and Management System (TAMS)
• Knowledge of Tax Legislation and Basic Condition of Employment Act (BCEA)

Minimum Experience:
• 3+ years’ experience in payroll and Sage 300
• Payroll reporting and track records in driving efficiencies in the payroll function
• Experience in tax legislation/provisions (e.g., Tax returns such as EMP501) and statutory requirements to payroll
